NORTH SIKKIM (LACHEN + LACHUNG +DZONGU) 6N/7D

The North district is the largest of the four districts of Sikkim. The landscape is mountainous with dense vegetation all the way up to the alpine altitude before thinning out to desert scrub towards the northern tundra. Numerous waterfalls astride the main road make the trip to this district extremely picturesque.

Day 01 :

New Jalpaiguri Railway Station (NJP) / Bagdogra airport- Gangtok.

Upon your arrival, the driver will transfer you from the NJP Railway station/Bagdogra Airport in Siliguri, to your pre-booked hotel in Gangtok. Capture the majestic beauty of the Teesta River at Kalimpong, where you can also enjoy river rafting (at your own cost).
Once you check-in, the remaining day is yours to enjoy and rejuvenate. In the evening you can also explore the lively MG Marg and explore the streets of Gangtok

Day 02 :

Gangtok to Lachen

After early breakfast, drive to Lachen (approx. 6-7 hours) via the beautiful villages of Mangan and chungthang enjoying waterfalls and lush landscapes along the way.
We will make a few stops along the way to make the most of your drive.
You are likely to reach Lachen around the evening.
Overnight stay in a Hotel/Homestay at Lachen.

Day 03 :

Gurudongmar lake + Lachung

Breakfast at hotel.
Early morning (6-7 AM) trip to Gurudongmar Lake (17,800 ft) one of the highest lakes in the world, and enjoy its surreal, sacred beauty.
Return to Lachen for breakfast, then check out and procced towards Lachung (approx. 2-3 hours), passing through chungthang again.
On arrival at Lachung , check in to your hotel and relax for the evening with dinner and overnight stay.

Day 04 :

Yumthang Valley + zero point + Dzongu

After breakfast visit the enchanting Yumthang Valley known as the “valley of flowers “surrounded by snowcapped peaks and alpine blooms.
Optionally visit Zero Point (subject to Permit and weather) for a snow filled adventurer at a higher altitude.
After sightseeing drive to Dzongu with alunch stop en route. Trip ends with beautiful memories of North Sikkim.

Day 05 :

Explore Dzongu local

Start your day with a visit to the Lingdem Sulphur Hot Springs for a rejuvenating soak in the therapeutic waters, surrounded by the serene beauty of Dzongu.
Next, explore Sikkim's longest hanging walkable bridge, taking a leisurely stroll while enjoying stunning views of the surrounding landscape and soaking in the tranquil ambiance.
In the afternoon, visit a local monastery in Dzongu to experience the spiritual essence of the region, observing the monks as they perform their daily rituals in a peaceful atmosphere.
Before heading back, stop by a local handicraft center to browse and purchase unique souvenirs crafted by skilled Lepcha artisans, supporting the local community.

Day 06 :

Dzongu to Gangtok

Depart from Dzongu in the morning, enjoying a scenic drive through picturesque landscapes and charming villages, with opportunities for photo stops along the way.
Arrive in Gangtok by afternoon, where you can check into your accommodation and begin exploring the vibrant local culture, markets, and attractions.
Overnight stay in Gangtok.

Day 07 :

Departure Day

Breakfast at hotel.
Departure from Gangtok.
Drive to NJP/Bagdogra
